A semi truck hauling an excavator hit the bottom of the overpass at mile marker 234, causing debris to rain down onto I-65 South. The bridge has damage to the supports. 
I-65 South is shut down and County Road 87 will remain closed until further notice.
We’re told one patient is being transported to UAB with head trauma.
